We are actively hiring for the following position:

Play-based Care Provider

  • Windy Hill Play is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and engaged Play-Based Care Provider to join our growing care community. We are looking for someone confident in a group setting, passionate about early childhood development, and committed to creating a safe, supportive, and responsive learning environment.

    This is not a role for someone who waits for a checklist. We are seeking a care provider who brings initiative, emerging leadership qualities, and the foundation for operational oversight as we grow. The right person notices what needs to be done and steps in with care, ownership, and steadiness.

  • The right candidate:

    • Demonstrates initiative without needing constant direction

    • Shows leadership presence in a group childcare setting

    • Has the capacity to grow into operational responsibility

    • Is willing to learn and actively integrate Windy Hill Play’s community standards

    • Understands that care is shared and takes responsibility for the environment, not just assigned tasks

    • Moves with awareness, steadiness, and follow-through

    We value individuals who see themselves as part of the village, not just completing duties, but strengthening the whole care ecosystem.

    • Support daily classroom routines and play-based activities

    • Actively engage with children through hands-on learning and social interaction

    • Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing environment

    • Communicate effectively with team members and families

    • Model emotional regulation, respect, and positive behavior

    • Contribute to classroom flow, organization, and shared care responsibilities

    • Step in where needed to support the overall health of the environment

    1. 2 to 3 years of experience in a group childcare setting

    2. CPR and First Aid certification required

    3. Strong communication and teamwork skills

    4. Ability to actively engage with children in a hands-on environment

    5. Background check required prior to start date

    2. Complete a 30 minute phone interview

    3. Participate in a 2 hour on site immersive interview. Our immersive interview is an active, classroom-based experience. Candidates will engage directly with children and team members so we can observe presence, communication style, adaptability, and alignment with our care community culture.

    If selected:

    2. Background check processed

    3. Confirm start date.

  • Pay: $21/hr

    Availability: M-F, 8am-5pm

    Hours per week: 25-30 hrs

    Start Date: Mid to Late March
